Breaking our threshold rules here, but the mean offset of -1% for NO3 was so
precisely reflected in the inversion suggestion that adjusting it may be
warranted.

Toste and Mario had a second look and found that it is worth while to follow the
crossovers with the Knorr cruises, and thus the sugestion by the inversion.
Adjustment changed to 1.05.
Posted by ttanhua@geomar.de on 2012-08-01 11:12:59 UTC - Edit - Delete
The inversion suggest a correction of 0.996 and the mean of the crossovers is
1.007.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, consistent with GLODAP.
Posted by ttanhua@geomar.de on 2012-07-17 17:32:57 UTC - Edit - Delete
The inversion suggest a correction of 1.056 and the mean of the crossovers is
0.971. The crossovers suggest that the silicate from this cruise is on the low
side and we suggest an adjustment of 1.03, which is higher than the "no
adjustment" that was applied to GLODAP.
Posted by ttanhua@geomar.de on 2012-07-17 17:30:23 UTC - Edit - Delete
The inversion suggest a correction of 0.99 and the mean of the crossovers is
1.01. This is within the 2% threshold.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, which is consistent with GLODAP
Posted by ttanhua@geomar.de on 2012-07-17 17:26:22 UTC - Edit - Delete
The inversion suggest a correction of 1.010 and the mean of the crossovers is
0.987, both suggesting that the nitrate could be on the low side. However, the
possible adjustment is judged to be within the 2% threshold.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, which is consistent with GLODAP

is 1.3 ppm.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, consistent with GLODAP.

The inversion suggest a correction of 1.056 and the mean of the crossovers is
0.971. The crossovers suggest that the silicate from this cruise is on the low
side and we suggest an adjustment of 1.03, which is higher than the "no
adjustment" that was applied to GLODAP.

The inversion suggest a correction of 0.99 and the mean of the crossovers is

The inversion suggest a correction of 1.010 and the mean of the crossovers is
0.987, both suggesting that the nitrate could be on the low side. However, the
possible adjustment is judged to be within the 2% threshold.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, which is consistent with GLODAP
Posted by ttanhua@geomar.de on 2012-07-17 17:23:02 UTC - Edit - Delete
The inversion suggest a correction of -0.67 ppm and the mean of the crossovers
is 1.3 ppm.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, consistent with GLODAP.

Toste and Mario had a second look and found that it is worth while to follow the
crossovers with the Knorr cruises, and thus the sugestion by the inversion.
Adjustment changed to 1.05.

The inversion suggest a correction of 0.996 and the mean of the crossovers is
1.007.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, consistent with GLODAP.

09FA19960507 - silicate - (current GLODAPv2/GLODAPv1.2 comment)
The inversion suggest a correction of 1.056 and the mean of the crossovers is
0.971. The crossovers suggest that the silicate from this cruise is on the low
side and we suggest an adjustment of 1.03, which is higher than the "no
adjustment" that was applied to GLODAP.

The inversion suggest a correction of 0.99 and the mean of the crossovers is
Posted by ttanhua@geomar.de on 2012-07-17 17:23:02 UTC - Edit - Delete
The inversion suggest a correction of -0.67 ppm and the mean of the crossovers
is 1.3 ppm.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, consistent with GLODAP.

The inversion suggest a correction of 1.056 and the mean of the crossovers is
0.971. The crossovers suggest that the silicate from this cruise is on the low
side and we suggest an adjustment of 1.03, which is higher than the "no
adjustment" that was applied to GLODAP.

The inversion suggest a correction of 0.99 and the mean of the crossovers is
1.01. This is within the 2% threshold.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, which is consistent with GLODAP

The inversion suggest a correction of 1.010 and the mean of the crossovers is
0.987, both suggesting that the nitrate could be on the low side. However, the
possible adjustment is judged to be within the 2% threshold.
We suggest that no adjustment is applied, which is consistent with GLODAP

We suggest that no adjustment is applied, consistent with GLODAP.

Automated update! This overwrites adjustment values (and flags) of CTDoxy and
CTDsal with the values from BOTsal and BOToxy for every cruise, unless CTDsal
(or CTDoxy) is not present or bad.
Salinity action ID:3; no CTD salinity data. Setting CTD salinity offset to -999,
QC flag removed.
Oxygen action ID:3; no CTD oxygen data. Setting CTD oxygen offset to -999, QC
flag removed.

Breaking our threshold rules here, but the mean offset of -1% for NO3 was so
precisely reflected in the inversion suggestion that adjusting it may be
warranted.
