Adjustments are based on results in Peng and Wanninkhof (2010). Their
adjustment based on MLR analysis is -27.3 plus/minus 9.0. I suggest we adjust
accordingly.

valid crossovers and the data appears high apart from the xover with
316N19810416 (TTO-NAS – 3). Given age, do not think I have enough evidence for
an adjustment. Do no adjust.

The inversion suggest that these data should be corrected using a factor 0.9895
based on 4 crossovers with a mean offset of 1.009. Tropical/subtropical NA. The
data look consistenly high, and SO CARINA suggested a correction for those of
0.99. From this leg onwards the GEOSECS Atlantic data appear biased and we
therefore suggest to adjust these data with 0.99.

Consistent with Peng & Wanninkhof finding 3.5 umol/kg bias in Atlantic GEOSECS.

This is set to 1, based on Peng & Wanninkhof (2010) suggesting insignificant
nutrient offsets in Atlantic GEOSECS.

For now, for the purpose of preparing GLODAPv1.2, this is set to 0. Will be
revised later, based on Peng & Wanninkhof 2010 results. GEOSECS will not be used
as reference for CLIVAR anyway.

New inversion for phosphate in the Atlantic with 10 core cruises assigned
confirms that NO adjustment should be applied.

Adjustments are based on results in Peng and Wanninkhof (2010). Their
adjustment based on MLR analysis is -27.3 plus/minus 9.0. I suggest we adjust
accordingly.

316N19720718.3 - oxygen
The inversion suggest that these data should be corrected using a factor 0.9895
based on 4 crossovers with a mean offset of 1.009. Tropical/subtropical NA. The
data look consistenly high, and SO CARINA suggested a correction for those of
0.99. From this leg onwards the GEOSECS Atlantic data appear biased and we
therefore suggest to adjust these data with 0.99.

316N19720718.3 - silicate
The inversion suggest a correction of 0.957 and the mean offset is 1.033. 4
valid crossovers and the data appears high apart from the xover with
316N19810416 (TTO-NAS – 3). Given age, do not think I have enough evidence for
an adjustment. Do no adjust.

SO analysis, as well, says GEOSECS nitrate are fine.
