35TH20040605 - tco2
The average of all cross overs (manual) is 0.81.
The average of all cross overs (automatic) is 1.70.
Crossovers with core cruises only suggests offsets of 2.40(manual) and
2.96(automatic).
However, the inversion suggests a downwards adjustment (0.72 and 1.72 for WLSQ
and WDLSQ, respectively).
The adjustment lies within the minimum cut-off limit.
The cross-overs with the core-cruises support the inversion results.
This cruise is itself defined as a core cruise - the crossover results support
this.
Based on this I don't suggest any adjustment for the 35TH20040605 tco2 values.

Auto-uploaded comment from GLODAPv2 assessment by Steven van Heuven (src:
GLODAPv2_ATL_for_Carsten.xls / 2015-01-08): : Make 1.10. New data for this OVIDE
line were supplied by Fiz Perez / Maribel Garcia 2014-AUG-01. These new PO4
numbers are fairly consistent between the 5 OVIDE lines, but all 5 are
considered to be severely low (up to 15%). Adjust each upward by 10%. Before
this contribution, GLODAPv2 did not have PO4 for this cruise.
*** For OVIDE2004, all PO4 data west of 25W are scrapped from GLODAPv2 data
product, because of inexplicable +20% jump high bias. ***

35TH20040605 - phosphate
The average of all cross overs is 0.907, suggesting that the phosphate values
are too low.
The inversions suggest an adjustment of 1.10 - 1.11 (WDLSQ and WLSQ).
The cross-overs with core-cruises and other cruises in the area indicates that
this cruise needs a upward adjustment for phosphate.
Based on this I suggest an adjustment of 1.10 for nitrate for 35TH20040605, in
line with the inversion results.

Auto-uploaded comment from GLODAPv2 assessment by Steven van Heuven (src:
GLODAPv2_ATL_for_Carsten.xls / 2015-01-08): : Make 0.975. New data for this
OVIDE line were supplied by Fiz Perez / Maribel Garcia 2014-AUG-01. These new
NO3 numbers are fairly consistent between the 5 OVIDE lines, and all 5 are ~2-4%
high. For this cruise, a 2.5% high bias against MT20030723 is visible.

35TH20040605 - nitrate
The average of all cross overs is 1.043, suggesting that the nitrate values
might be on the high side.
The inversions suggest an adjustment of 0.94 - 0.96 (WLSQ and WDLSQ).
The cross-overs with core-cruises and other cruises in the area indicates that
this cruise needs a downward adjustments for nitrate.
Based on this I suggest an adjustment of 0.96 for nitrate for 35TH20040611, in
line with the inversion results.

35TH20040605 - silicate
The average of all cross overs is 1.034, suggesting that the silicate values
migh be a little high, but there is
considerable scatter in the results.
The inversions suggest an adjustment of 0.97 0.98 (WLSQ and WDLSQ).
The cross-overs results are in-conclusive, but at least for the cross-overs with
core-cruises in the eastern basin, there is a clear
tendency for 35TH20040605 silicate values to be high in the deep water (possibly
a problem in the high concentration range?).
Based on this I suggest an adjustment of 0.98 for nitrate for 35TH20040605, in
line with the inversion results.

The average of all cross-overs is 1.004 although some "bad cruises" push up the
average. Without those cruises the average is 0.997.
The inversions suggest no adjustments (1.001 or 0.998 WDLSQ and 0.997 WLSQ).
The cross-overs with others core cruises support no adjustment for this cruise.
Based on this I suggest no adjustment to the oxygen value.

Unfortunately, only the accuarcy of the silicate data improved noticeably.
