58AA19970225 - alkalinity
WLSQ inversion indicated that data were possibly a bit high. But as described in
the Nordic Seas alkalinity summary document at
http://carboocean.ifm-geomar.de/postings/list, this is because the inversion
tries to compensate for the really low cruises. Compared to data considered good
(i.e data from recent years) the cruise is not very high.
Alkalinity - Salinity regression analyses indicated no bias, and profiles shown
in page 18 of the Nordic Seas alkalinity document seems fine.
Thus I recommend no adjustment.
Here I have uploaded page from this document showing result of the WLSQ
inversion of manual crossovers with this cruise highlighted. When compared to
the later cruises, 58AA1997025 does not seem significantly offset

These data were part of the Nordic Seas CARINA oxygen analyses.
The analyses showed that the data were too high and should be adjusted down by
the specified fraction. The details can be found in the Nordic Seas oxygen
report available at at http://carboocean.ifm-geomar.de/postings/list.
