Autogenerated CTD salinity and CTD oxygen update
Automated update! This overwrites adjustment values (and flags) of CTDoxy and
CTDsal with the values from BOTsal and BOToxy for every cruise, unless CTDsal
(or CTDoxy) is not present or bad.
Salinity action ID:2; CTD salinity data good, setting CTD salinity offset and QC
flag to bottle values.
Oxygen action ID:3; no CTD oxygen data. Setting CTD oxygen offset to -999, QC
flag removed.

Average offsets:
1.44 (automatic)

Average offsets from xovers with Core Cruises:
-0.18 (automatic)
-0.18 (manual)
Inversion Results:
-8.15 WLSQ
-9.15 WDLSQ
Comments: Offsets are either big (-10) due to large offset in deep data or small
(~1-2) but the scatter in the data is large (large std dev of 13). MLR with
33RO20030604 (Core cruise 1001) shows the scatter. The quality of the data is
too poor to suggest an adjustment.
Suggested adjustment: -888
quality: poor

The average of all crossovers is 1.09 and the inversions suggest a correction of
0.96. The crossovers with core-cruises supports that the phosphate values are
too high. Based on these evidences an adjustment of 0.96 was applied to the
phosphate data.

The average of all cross overs is 1.038.
The inversions suggest no adjustment.
The cross-overs with core-cruises supports that the silicate values for this
cruis might be a tick high,
but well within the uncertainty.
Based on these evidence I suggest no adjustment.

GLODAPv2_ATL_for_Carsten.xls / 2015-01-08): : make 1.01. Southern (stable)
extent of this cruise has sharp xovers with several long US lines. It's 1% low
against 33RO2003, 32OC1988, the OVIDEs, etc. Mean of (high quality) biases:
-1±1%. Adjusting up by 1%, and all other Tyro cruises from 1990-1991 as well,
since they form intercompare perfectly with each other. Inversion agrees with
this, suggesting 1.007 to 1.014 from them. 64TR1989 is accurate.

The average of all cross-overs is 0.992
The inversion suggests no adjustment.
The cross-overs with core cruise reveals that this cruise seems to have some
problem in the mid depth (around 2000-2500 m depth). That could be caused from
the quality of the data that seems to be not very good.
Base on this, I suggest no adjustment and a question mark on the quality of the
data.

64TR19900417 - phosphate
The average of all crossovers is 1.09 and the inversions suggest a correction of
0.96. The crossovers with core-cruises supports that the phosphate values are
too high. Based on these evidences an adjustment of 0.96 was applied to the
phosphate data.

Average offsets:
1.44 (automatic)
1.44 (manual)
Average offsets from xovers with Core Cruises:
-0.18 (automatic)
-0.18 (manual)
Inversion Results:
-8.15 WLSQ
-9.15 WDLSQ
Comments: Offsets are either big (-10) due to large offset in deep data or small
(~1-2) but the scatter in the data is large (large std dev of 13). MLR with
33RO20030604 (Core cruise 1001) shows the scatter. The quality of the data is
too poor to suggest an adjustment.
Suggested adjustment: -888
quality: poor

All xovers and output of inversions are refered on figure: "Report plot for
adjustments"
Real diff (Green dots) are the differences taken directly from xover routines.
The complete segment of error bar represents the xover standard deviation.
Yellow line stand for the offset calculated for this cruise.
Black stars stand for the offset calculated for the others cruises in the
xovers.
Blue squares stand for the Fitted differences that would be obtained from the
calculated offsets (Yellow line - black stars)
Red dots stand for the Residuals between the 'Real diff'(Green dots) and 'Fitted
diff' (Blue squares)
c suffix in the upper X axis labels stand for Core Cruises

The average of all cross overs is 1.038.
The inversions suggest no adjustment.
The cross-overs with core-cruises supports that the silicate values for this
cruis might be a tick high,
but well within the uncertainty.
Based on these evidence I suggest no adjustment.

The average of all cross overs is 1.092.

The cross-overs with core-cruises supports that the phosphate values for this
cruis is high.
Based on these evidence I suggest an adjustment of 0.96, in agreement with the
inversions.
