GLODAPv2_ATL_for_Carsten.xls / 2015-01-08): : make +5. Cruise is region of
strong trends. Adjustment by +5 brings it in line with contemporaries (inversion
would rather do +8 to bring in line with modern cruises too, which I think is
what was accepted ealier but shouldn't have been).

Average offsets:

Average offsets from xovers with Core Cruises:

-6.90 (manual)
Inversion Results:
13.40 WLSQ
12.30 WDLSQ
Comments: All offsets between 5 and 7, except 2 xovers at 10 and 14.5 with
cruise 1087(06MT20030723) and 57 (06MT19920322). An MLR using 1087 shows an
offset of about 8.5. Inversion result of 12.3 seems too high.
Suggested adjustment: 7.24
quality: good

64TR19900701 - phosphate
Gouretski and Jancke (2001) suggested and upward adjustment of 0.056 umol/kg for
this cruise.
The average of all cross overs is 1.041, but with a few high outliers,
suggesting that the phosphate might be a bit high.
The inversion suggest a small downward adjustment (0.96 and 0.97, for WLSQ and
WDLSQ).
The cross-overs with core-cruises suggest that an downward adjustments for
phosphate might be justified.
However, considering the scatter in data and the possibility that there are real
changes in phosphate in
the region, the eveidence for an adjustment are weak.
Based on this I suggest no adjustment 64TR19900107 phosphate values.

Auto-uploaded comment from GLODAPv2 assessment by Steven van Heuven (src:
GLODAPv2_ATL_for_Carsten.xls / 2015-01-08): : maintain 1.00. Perfect match with

64TR19900701 - nitrate
This is a GLODAP cruise, and Gouretski and Jencke (2001) suggested an adjustment
of 0.04 umol/kg.
The average of all cross overs is 1.014, suggesting that the nitrate is OK.
The N/P ratio is 14.43, intercept 0.25.
The inversion suggest a small upward adjustment (1.02 and 1.01 , for WLSQ and
WDLSQ).
There is no evidence from the cross-overs with core-cruises that this cruise
needs any adjustments for nitrate.
Based on this I suggest no nitrate adjustment for 64TR19900107.

Auto-uploaded comment from GLODAPv2 assessment by Steven van Heuven (src:

The average of all cross-overs is 0.989.
The inversion suggests an adjustment of 1.024 (WDLSQ) and 1.020 (WLSQ).
The cross-overs with core cruises suggests that this cruise is lower in oxygen
Base on this, I suggest an adjustment of 1.024
