Automated update! This overwrites adjustment values (and flags) of CTDoxy and
CTDsal with the values from BOTsal and BOToxy for every cruise, unless CTDsal
(or CTDoxy) is not present or bad.
Salinity action ID:3; no CTD salinity data. Setting CTD salinity offset to -999,
QC flag removed.
Oxygen action ID:3; no CTD oxygen data. Setting CTD oxygen offset to -999, QC
flag removed.

06MT19970515 - tco2
The average of all cross overs (manual) is 2.08.
The average of all cross overs (automatic) is 2.21.
Crossovers with core cruises only suggests offsets of 1.10(manual) and
1.44(automatic)
Inversion also suggests no adjustment adjustment (-0.51 and -1.52 for WLSQ and
WDLSQ, respectively).
This cruise is itself defined as a core cruise - the crossover results support
this.
Both manual and automatic results and inversion fall within limits.
Based on this I don't suggest any adjustment for the 06MT19970515 tco2 values.

There are only 3 xovers. The fitted offset is 0.1. The suggested adjustment is 0
All residuals are inside +-3.
Good fit with OVIDE core cruises.

All xovers and output of inversions are refered on figure: "Report plot for
adjustments"
Real diff (Green dots) are the differences taken directly from xover routines.
The complete segment of error bar represents the xover standard deviation.
Yellow line stand for the offset calculated for this cruise.
Black stars stand for the offset calculated for the others cruises in the
xovers.
Blue squares stand for the Fitted differences that would be obtained from the
calculated offsets (Yellow line - black stars)
Red dots stand for the Residuals between the 'Real diff'(Green dots) and 'Fitted
diff' (Blue squares)
c suffix in the upper X axis labels stand for Core Cruises.

Auto-uploaded comment from GLODAPv2 assessment by Steven van Heuven (src:

06MT19970515 - phosphate
The average of all cross overs is 1.057. This suggestest that 06MT19970515
phosphate might be on the high side.
However, a very high outlier is biasing this number (i.e 06MT19960613 is really
low on phosphate).
The N/P ratio is 12.97 (on the low side), intercept -1.16.
The inversion suggest an adjustment of 0.95, confirming that 06MT19970515
probably is too high in phosphate.
The cross-overs vs. the core-cruises supports that 06MT19970515 phosphate is too
high
Based on the evidence reported here, I suggest that 06MT19970515 phosphate is
adjusted with 0.95, in agreement with the inversions.
This, together with the upward adjustment of nitrate, brings the N/P ratio to
about 14.3.

Auto-uploaded comment from GLODAPv2 assessment by Steven van Heuven (src:
GLODAPv2_ATL_for_Carsten.xls / 2015-01-08): : maintain 1.05. Clear 5% low bias
against accurate cruise MT20030723, especially in 2000-3000 m range

06MT19970515 - nitrate
The average of all cross overs is 0.96, suggesting that 06MT19970515 nitrate is
on the low side. The cross overs
are all very consistent in this case, all indicating that 06MT19970515 is low in
nitrate.
The N/P ratio is 12.97 (on the low side), intercept -1.16.
The inversion suggest an adjustment of 1.04 and 1.05 for WLSQ and WDLSQ,
respectively, confirming that 06MT19970515 probably is too low on nitrate.
The cross over results vs. the core-cruises confirms that 06MT19970515 nitrate
do need an upward adjustment.
Based on the evidence reported here, I suggest that 06MT19970515 is adjusted
with 1.05, in agreement with the inversions.

This, together with the upward adjustment of nitrate, brings the N/P ratio to
about 14.3.

06MT19970515 - silicate
The average of all cross overs is 1.014 suggesting that 06MT19970515 silicate is
OK.
A very high outlier is biasing this number (i.e 06MT19960613 is low on
silicate).
The inversion suggest no adjustment.
There is no evidence in the cross overs with the core cruises that 06MT19970515
needs an adjustment for silicate.
Based on the evidence reported here, I suggest that 06MT19970515 silicate is not
adjusted.

The average of all cross overs is 1.011 revealing that this cruise is bit higher
in oxygen.
The inversion suggests an adjustment of 0.989 (WDLSQ) and 0.985 (WLSQ).
There are one cruise that could bias the result but running the inversion
without this cruise does not change the inversion results, suggesting that this
cruise still need a downward adjustment.
The cross-overs with core cruises suggests an adjustment (but not all the core
cruises).
On this base I suggest a downward adjustment.

Becker et al. 2016:
These cruises are also known as M39 cruises with three legs
of 13C-DIC sampling (M39-2, M39-3, M39-4). Since each
leg of this cruise had only a few stations with 13C-DIC
samples, and all these samples were analyzed together, these
cruises were summarized for the crossover study. Neither the
inversion routine nor the single crossover with the adjusted
cruises show evidence for an offset.

06MT19970515 - oxygen
The average of all cross overs is 1.011 revealing that this cruise is bit higher
in oxygen.
The inversion suggests an adjustment of 0.989 (WDLSQ) and 0.985 (WLSQ).
There are one cruise that could bias the result but running the inversion
without this cruise does not change the inversion results, suggesting that this
cruise still need a downward adjustment.
The cross-overs with core cruises suggests an adjustment (but not all the core
cruises).
On this base I suggest a downward adjustment.

Based on the evidence reported here, I suggest that 06MT19970515 silicate is not
adjusted.

This, together with the upward adjustment of nitrate, brings the N/P ratio to
about 14.3.
